It's been a good year! There's been some ups and downs but
deffinately more ups! At least I remember them more anyway!
I'm gonna say a lot, but to keep your attention I'm gonna post pretty
pictures. Hope you guys had a good 2011 yourselves and have a good 2012 :)

lol I made myself a CV

this amazing track which I'd been coveting got released FOR FREE

Beasts In the Basement V I P by Reso

I got a job that paid me seven quid an hour handing out leaflets
and I could pretty much pick my own hours, or if I wanted to work
any hours at all, that was pretty cool! Elderly woman who would have
smoke breaks near my spot was pretty jokes too, good times!

Started doing interviews with artists, first act being Cutline

My flashgun which I got for christmas (had to wait longer than that for it to
actually get here from china though) goes kaput on it's 2nd or 3rd fucking gig
Got really sick and missed a couple of gigs, got an infection on my finger!
Doctors had to operate on it and everything, you don't want to be
in the theatres where no one is acting...
February wasn't all bad got a few bookings as well as my interview with
Elite Force sorted which I was pretty happy about, but some parts did suck...

first practice shoot with my friend the Queen!

had my worse gig ever :( Was taking pics and set for my first DJ set
at Cable but someone spilt their drink on my camera and I didn't get to
play because they shut early as not enough people came down. Lord that hurt.

Saw Stephen Fry at work!

Played at a squat party for the first time.
Hope it doesn't end up being the only time...

got my camera replaced and got new lenses which I tested out at this massive event :)

played my first set at cable :)

did jury service on my birthday :(
got let off it early because I fell asleep in court though :)

saw jakes play, he was sick!

people rioting because a drug dealer got shot :/

lost my job :(

nottinghill carnival! pineapple tribe smashed it again!
lost all my friends then met them later at a houseparty
good times :)

had my best set of the year at cable after winning a mix competition :)

got myself a not nice t-shirt :)

best mix I've heard this year, period!
got my hair cut

restarted uni (was on a gap year)
restarted getting up at 8am (was on a gap year)

biggest z shed ever, being complimented by my evolving photography style :)

loved this tune!

played my first gig outside of London...
...all the way in Kent :P

racist women on public transport becomes a meme

the dubstep awards :(

this got released :)

 my first EP :)

I met Gunjack!

fucked up my laptop by spilling noodles all over it!

Think that's roughly about it tbh
Been more goods then bads, so it's been a good year :)
Big shouts to everyone who's booked me this year, especially those
who've done so consistently and even more so to those who have paid me ;)

My first ever released attempt at making music is finally here!
And due to the technical side of things you can kind of tell...
I do like the ideas though, could have spent forever perfecting
them but I thought getting them out there to see what people
think was healthier. Hopefully the as I keep on going the
improvements will be noticed! Anyway enough talking the EP is
bellow for you to listen to as well as the mediafire download
link (let me know if it expires) or whatevs. Bellow all that I'll
let you know what was going through my head on each tune,
if this isn't enough of me talking for you...

Angeroo was an efm1 (I use logic) exercise, all the sounds minus
the drum samples being made with that one synth, on the next EP
there'll be a tune which started off as an es2 exercise.
Wanted to make a straightforward dubstep track that has heavy but
simple and not tear out, think I achieved that without keeping it
overly repetitive which I quite liked, the sounds switch around alot
Too Much
Really enjoyed playing about with the drums on this, just wish I
was better with manipulating the bass, the idea I had for this track
by far surpassed my current ability! Side chain shizz was pretty fun
too, Submerse aint got shit on me...
Too Cool
This track was fun, think I got too excited over the finger snaps
sample, hence the name of the tune, which should probably be
really called too fast, I don't think it has even one slow section...
If you've gotten this far thanks for reading, It's appreciated!
Got my stuff on youtube too if you're not into your soundcloud
or whatever. Big shouts to everyone who gave me a hand here
and there, this EP would be a lot worse without you!
Also put out a mix recently, if you've still got enough space left
in your throat for me to shove my stuff into on my mixcloud
If you wana get at me check my facebook
Right hope you guys enjoy it, feedback positive or negative is welcomed!
thanks for reading and listening, cya!

upgrades :)

Finally got some upgrades sorted out! Didn't even take that long,
I just took long to get around to doing them... Finally got a photography
tab up, as it's not like it's what bring most of you revellers here anyway...

Soundcloud has also been revamped, in preparation for my first EP!
All the tunes I make will now be uploaded onto my soundcloud,
with my mixes going onto my mixcloud, even made a new mix to
celebrate this (any fucking excuse to make a mix is all I need)

give it a listen, it's 30 minutes long and as heavy as fuck!
If it were a person, it'd be morbidly obese :)
also has some of my tunes on there :D

The EP will be out tomorrow, cya then!

after, the world! Soon Khris With A K shall rule all! WAHAHAHAHAA!!!!

Anyway, till then I will be sorting out some blog upgrades, and will be
dropping my ep inbetween now and new years, just got to sort out the
art work. You can hear some of my up and coming tunes on the mix I
did for dubheadz anyway, just check the link bellow and you'll see it.

was worthy of it being my last one for 2011 if it is, was a really
good night with really good music and I'm pretty happy with the
photos I took down there! Free pints are always welcome too...

I went down to Kings Cross' Big chill House which was holding the
Rift Valley festival, some seriously good vibes, reccomend you

Right here we have an interview with dubstep DJ/producer Skit who's just
released a new free E.P.! He's here to give us a few words but if you cba for that,
then you can listen to it bellow in the soundcloud link and you download it
from his facebook page, enjoy!

Before we start, why the name Skit?
My friend gave me the nickname skitz when I was like 12 or 13 because I was
just a weird hyper little kid and people still call me that today but obviously
there is skitz beats and DJ skitz so I couldn't just use that for my artist name so
I took the z off. Now I get loads of stick from Swedish people hahaha

Now that we've started, where did you start with music?
I've been doing music for quite a while. I started playing the trumpet when I was
about 7 or 8 and played in an orchestra for a little bit when I was younger. I
started playing guitar when I was 14 and played in bands until about 3 years ago
when I lost the passion to do it any more. I took a production course at college
for a year after doing 2 years of music performance and got really into it.

where do you get your influences from, got any interesting favourite
musicians we might not expect? Guilty pleasures included!

I listen to all types of music really I'm obviously a huge fan of burial, etched
headplate just does something else to me. I'm also a big fan of noisia, biome,
phaeleh, coven, stumbleine, chasing shadows, koreless, kryptic minds, goth trad,
dmz, I'm missing out loads but I could go on all day. Noisia are the main influence
for my heavier stuff though, the way they manipulate their basses is crazy.

My parents used to play a lot of the 90's dance stuff when I was growing up so I
grew up listening to stuff like everything but the girl, corona, etc. My dad has
always been really into motown and a lot of the overly epic 80's stuff like tears
for fears and the pet shopboys which are 2 of my guilty pleasures haha

We met when we played at Cable, in London, whereas you're actually from Guildford
which isn't exactly in London...What's the bass scene and clubbing like over there?
There are a few nights in Guildford and they are all run by the same people
mainly Tim Subterra, George Aston and Mr Fame. They put on good nights but
not that many people in Guildford are into underground music. A lot of the
music nights around here are band nights, there are only a few club nights.
they are doing a good thing though and kanefm (the station run by Mr Fame)
recently went legal and I'm going to be doing a pilot show for them real soon.
Surely, being a music student in Guildford means you're into metal and that
you can play a guitar right? I can see that you've got the flesh tunnels sorted!
hahahha there isnt a metal scene in guildford tbh.  I think i went to one
night to sell merch for my mates band and there was probably about 5 people
in the venue that wernt in the bands playing. I still listen to some metal
though i spent most of my young teenage years listening to it.
Back on track now, you're here to talk about your new E.P. which you have
recently released. It contains two tracks, Intimate, a nice chilled tune and
Calling which is heavier but still quite melodic and not exactly tearout.
Both tracks have quite a nice flow to them and I would recommend both!

What  was going through your head when you made these two contrasting tunes?

Tbh when I write a tune I cant sit down and be like ok I'm going to make this
style of tune and if I try I usually end up writing the complete opposite of what I
set out to. I usually just write whatever im in the mood for at the time. When I
wrote calling i had just watched american pie for the first time in ages and the
vocal is from the track playing in the background when jim strips for nadia. When I

wrote intimate i just wanted to write something really deep and emotive. I had

been listening to alot of chilled stuff at the time i was writing it and I wanted
the ep to be diverse so people dont think im just a one trick pony.

You told me you just started making some sounds for a collaboration and
you also want to make some liquid drum and bass tunes as well. Is it looking
like 2012 is going to be good to you then? Apart from the end of world of course...

Yeah I just started work on a collab with someone I don't really want to say
who yet but he is an amazing producer and I am always looking up to him
for inspiration to work harder.

As for the liquid track I just want to make a nice melodic roller of a
track that's still upbeat and fast paced. I like tunes like that.

Hopefully 2012 goes well for me, I can't wait for my next release to show
people how much more I can do. I wrote calling like 5 moths ago and I have
tightened up my production a lot since then.

Lastly anyone out there who you want to put on our radar?

You should definately check out Coven , Dark0 and Relay and Front.

All of them are criminally underrated and making some amazing music

Please keep up with Skit and myself on the following links!

And that is all! Hope you all enjoyed Skit's new E.P. and what he had to say about himself! For my regulars I'm on break from uni so gonna hopefully  have a shit load to talk about over the days, and if not hope you all have a merry christmas plus a happy new year!

Was another great Z-Shed as per usual, crazy bass all over the place!
First time I'd been to Hidden as well, interesting interior and nothing
like heaters and shelter in the smoking area, specially in this weather...

Was down there taking pictures instead of doing uni work, it's not
like I have a deadline on thursday or anything, I'm totes in control.

I'm going to leave you to the pics as I try to get on with some other work!
Also should have some musical goodies for you this month if all goes well,
